I truly cannot think of anything else I'd rather be than a dentist. When I treat patients and make a difference in their lives by getting them out of pain or improving the aesthetics of their smiles, it makes me feel wonderful! These past 35+ years have been a blessing, and I hope to have many more years ahead of me to provide excellent care to my patients.

Outside the Office

I am originally from Hamilton, Ohio, and have lived in West Chester for 31 years. My wife Jacquie and I have a son, Dr. Steven Moore, Jr. who has joined me in the practice, a daughter Megan, and three grandchildren (Steven, Katelynn, and Brooklynn), and a dog named Roxie. My family means the world to me, so when I'm not in the office, my time is spent with them. We often attend our grandchildren's activities and events. I also like to play a round or two of golf when I have the chance.

Working with children and the community is something I like to do even outside the office. I am involved with several programs for people less fortunate than I, including Leave No Vet Behind, Options (through the ODA), Give Kids a Smile, and Team Smile.

Dr. Steven Moore Jr.

I feel very privileged to be in a profession that I enjoy so much. I get up every morning excited to be able to provide the highest quality dental care to all of my patients.

What I love the most about dentistry is the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of my patients, whether that is making their smile beautiful, making their mouths healthy again, or being able to get the patient out of pain. My team and I work every day to provide the best dental care to all of our patients. We work exceptionally hard to make every person feel as comfortable as possible.

Going to work at Lakota Dental does not feel like a job, mostly because I am able to work with my family. Lakota Dental is a family-owned business and we are all very much involved. My dad and wife are the other doctors with whom I work on most days.

My father was my inspiration to join the dental profession. I saw the enjoyment he got, and still gets, when he helped restore confidence to patients who were unhappy with their smiles. I wanted to help patients as he has done so many times, and make a positive impact on my community.

Outside the Office

I was born in Beaufort, South Carolina when my parents were stationed at Parris Island because my dad was a dentist in the Navy. Following their time in the military we moved back to West Chester when I was two. I lived there until I graduated from Lakota East High School and moved away to attend college at Miami University.

My wife, three children, and I live in Liberty Township. We moved here following the four years we spent in the Army at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. It was a great experience being able to serve the brave men and women in the US military.

I have three children, Steven III, Katelynn, and Brooklynn. Hopefully in a few years these three will also be working at our office!

If I am not working, you can find me spending time with my family, being outdoors, traveling, or playing golf with my friends and family.

I am also passionate about working to make my community a better place for my children and the other children in the world. I enjoy volunteering free dental care to the underserved in my community; not everyone is able to afford medical and dental care, and I am lucky enough to be able to improve the dental health of those in my community who are not able to afford it. I also volunteer as a coach for children's baseball and soccer teams in my area. Being active in my community is important to me because I want give back to a community that has been so wonderful to me.

Dr. Desiree Moore

Dr. Desiree Moore

I became a dental assistant at 19 years of age and fell in love. The rest, as they say, is history.

Working with my father-in-law, who has built a reputation of being an honorable and excellent dentist, is a privilege. I meet people every day who have known my husband's family for years. It gives a real sense of community, something that gets lost in big cities. I only hope I can make a difference by educating my patients and being honest when helping them with their dental needs.

Having a healthy mouth with strong beautiful teeth is the gateway to a strong and healthy body. Offering my dental knowledge makes me feel like I'm doing my part in the community.

Education and Continuing Education

  • Upland High School, Upland, California

  • Bachelor of Science in chemistry, cum laude Austin Peay State University

  • Doctorate of Dental Medicine - University of Kentucky College of Dentistry

I attend a wide array of diverse continuing education courses, both locally and nationally, to stay up to date with all the newest trends in dentistry. I choose topics that will enhance my knowledge as a clinician and the level of care I provide.

Outside the Office

I grew up in Southern California and now live in Liberty Township. My family and I moved here in the late spring of 2013 after my time as a captain in the US Army was completed. I met my husband Steve on the first day of orientation at the University of Kentucky. A friendship sparked, but later on it became more than friendship. We married a week after we graduated dental school. Two of our children were born while I served in the US Army at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Our third child was born here in Cincinnati.

My family and I are always looking for fun new adventures. It's rare for us to sit around the house all day. Whether it's swim classes, baseball, soccer, tumbling classes, or picking a spot on the map and driving, we are always on the go. I also volunteer to coach our kids soccer teams.

I volunteer each year in my kids' schools and with Give Kids a Smile. Give Kids a Smile is an organization that sets up mobile dental clinics around the country to offer free dental care for children in need. I offer my dental experience, knowledge, and time helping the children in our Cincinnati area. I believe that each child, no matter where they come from, has the ability to be someone great. No matter how small my part, I hope to be a positive role model by educating them on how to take care of their teeth while making their smile beautiful.
